Due to the mainland using lower checkrails on their tracks, Murdoch takes goods trains as far as Vicarstown so that the mainland diesels can take them from there. But it took so much time and the various companies and the Fat Controller had decided to let diesels take the goods straight from Sodor instead, which angers Murdoch.
