Topham Hatt was very cross with Thomas' silliness after he had fallen down into a mine. As punishment he had taken away his branch line and was to shunt trucks and coaches at Tidmouth station and Toby was to look after his branch line, much to Thomas' shock as he knows Toby couldn't handle everything on his own. But Topham Hatt was adamant.
