This is the first episode of a new series I'm starting entitled "Sketching & Painting with Bill." This comes from a new interest of mine, pen and ink sketching and watercolor painting. My type of sketching falls in the realm of "urban sketching" which is sketching and painting a scene while on location from start to finish. When doing this, one needs a solid surface on which to work. Sometimes the hard cover or backboard of a sketchbook suffices but it is often nice to use a a drawing board.

In this video I try out a new nurse's clipboard to see if it could serve as a drawing board.
