I covered the Sonic Game Book, Metal City Mayhem, in Creepy Bad Endings as an April Fools Day video, but the joke's on me because I got intensely involved in the story and what Sonic went through.
Well, there was no way I'd be able to resist the allure of making a sequel episode about the next book in the same series: Zone Rangers!
Man, if you thought Sonic suffered in Metal City Mayhem, you ain't seen nothing yet... And now Tails is along for the ride as well? Uh-oh.

Boss Short-cuts are what I called any special strategies that can instantly or almost-instantly kill a boss, or any strategies that make the boss incredibly easy. Some are intentional, some aren't, but in any case, they're always amazing to discover.
Boss battles are perhaps the most crucial parts of most games. You've taken down all the underlings, and now it's time to face the big, bad leader. They come in all shapes and sizes - some are easy, some are tough, others are fun to battle, but there are plenty who will drive you insane as well.
#pizzatower #gamingCreepy Time Limits: Pizza Towerwhoisthisgit2024-09-13 | Pizza Tower is heavily inspired by Wario Land 4, which as we saw in Creepy Time Limits # 8, has a strong focus on timed escapes. Naturally, its unofficial sequel follows suit and then goes above and beyond...

Time limits. I don't know about anyone else, but they terrify me. I like to take my time when playing video games, enjoying the experience at my own pace. But the moment I'm told that I'm going to be working against a timer, I can't help panicking. I'm thrown out of my comfort zone, and even the easiest tasks become tough to accomplish. Sure, it's good to be thrown out of a loop from time to time, and there's nothing wrong with a variety of challenges, but I always want the scary timer section cleared as soon as possible and move onto something else a little tense. In this series, I take a look at timer sequences in games that got to me the most.
NOTE: In cases where bad endings and scary timers overlap, (Example: Bad ending requires a timer to run out) Creepy Bad Endings will win out, and the video will be a CBE video.
Just the other day, the arcade or Playstation game, In The Hunt, popped into my head. I have very fond memories of playing this deep water shoot 'em up many years ago, and soon found myself wanting to cover its coolest boss concept in a Boss Analysis video, so here we are!

There's no such thing as a perfect video game. It doesn't matter how critically acclaimed one might be, you're bound to find fault with it somewhere. Back in 2021, I shared a third heaping of my unpopular opinions, and during the video, I went after Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure on the Wii. I had this to say, "To play this game to the end is a form of torture that should be outlawed everywhere".
A particularly strong focus of my ire towards the game came from its second-last level. Well, I think it's high time I explained why it got my goat so badly...

This series is all about characters who blew me away with their incredible intelligence, bestowing them the ability to complete tasks you would've thought were far beyond any AI and allowing them to dominate the game they're in by the power of their wits alone.
To qualify, characters don't need to have such advanced AI that they'll leave you worrying they're going to grow into Skynet, they just need to be smart enough to impress within the realms of their games. For this first (and possibly only) episode in this series, I've included the characters that have personally left me impressive with their superior AI...
None of these are probably as impressive as a human who knows what they're doing, but that's not the point of the video, we're here to gush about intelligent AI.

In Squeak Squad, If you don't move Kirby at all for around 16 seconds and he doesn't take a hit, he'll go through his idle animation of falling asleep.
Not the wisest thing to do in the heat of battle, but I became curious to see if it was possible to get Kirby to nod off during the game's boss battles. The chance to further humiliate the easy collection of clowns is merely an accidental added bonus.
However, in order to prevent the challenge from becoming too easy, there are two additional rules I came up with, at least one of which must be applied:
- Only Kirby's sleep during his idle animation will count, sleeping from the Sleep ability during a boss won't be counted.
- The use of any stored abilities is banned.
Either one of these rules by themself is enough to keep the challenge fair, you can choose whichever strikes your fancy, but personally, I prefer to only ban storable item, because the other rule allows for slightly more flexiablity during some boss battles.
For any games I don't talk about, I either didn't have much of a opinion on, didn't know what to say about them, or possibly forgot about them.

When you reach the very end of a game and have to defeat the final boss to order to earn the right to finish the adventure, it can be a very scary and tense time. Many times, I hear people say that graphics don't matter and that only gameplay counts towards making a game great. I disagree with this.
There are some games out there with such graphical problems, it can seriously spoil the experience. Today, I'm taking a look at the games that will test the faith of even the most devout "gameplay whores". Wow, never thought I'd say that. Except for the other seven previous times, of course.

Don't Leave My Eyes Alone!: youtube.com/watch?v=JW-FJd9m99kThe Worst Mario Level Of All Time? - Worst Levels Ever # 47whoisthisgit2024-04-24 | Unfortunately, although there are lots of fantastic levels and stages in video games, there are also a fair few awful ones.
Mario has been the king of platformers for as long as we can all remember, deciding upon the absolute worst (official) Mario level from the large collection of 2D Mario platformers is a very difficult task when the quality is as consistently high as it is.
Opinions may vary on what makes a great or a terrible level, but I'm confident that my choice and the focus of this episode of Worst Levels Ever cannot be topped in terms of cheap and poorly-designed unfairness...
In a previous episode, I covered a number of bosses I consider scary for various reasons, titled "Bosses I Fear". I've decided this would make for a fine sub-series in a similar vein to Bosses I Hate...
Today's featured boss comes from the never-ending waterfall of misery, Alundra on the original Sony Playstation...
Bosses are naturally scary and intimidating: they're (usually) powerful and they (usually) tower over the player character. But it takes something especially frightening to get to transform me from the brave boss-slaying warrior I usually am to a cowering little girl hiding in a corner. Today, I'm focusing on the bosses that I fear the most.
There is no one true way for boss to be considered scary by my standards, they come in all shapes and sizes and skins. (Definitely skins) Perhaps the boss has a disgusting, unnatural design that puts barf bags back in business. Maybe they do horrible, unspeakable things to your character if they get a hold on them. Don't underestimate the power of music and what it can add to the atmosphere either, or maybe they simply dish out huge damage and I'm constantly worrying I'm going to make that single mistake that gets me killed.
Please note that fear is a very subjective topic, and as such, what makes me want to run for the hills and beyond might have zero effect upon you whatsoever and vice versa.

Shinobi III is the awesome sequel to the classic Revenge of Shinobi on the Genesis or Mega Drive. Back in episode 33, I fought each of the bosses of Revenge of Shinobi under the most difficult circumstances, and now it's the sequel turn to get the same treatment and further my ninja training.
Rather than giving into weaknesses and accepting all the help the game gives me, though, I've decided to do the exact opposite to answer the question I had: Is it possible to beat each of the eight bosses with the bare minimum? This means...
- No kunai/shurikens - No special Jitsu - No POW upgrade

Since their inception in 1997 with PaRappa the Rappa, (At least I THINK that's the first one) I've had a somewhat turbulent relationship towards the rhythm action genre. However, as much the creators try, true equality is something that can never be fully achieved, and in many cases, the faster characters tend to be the best in their respective games.
Usually in The Most Powerful Characters In Gaming Ever series, I either focus on characters that are the strongest statistically and/or dominate their game. But for this, I decide to focus purely on speed and nothing else.

Want more Zelda gameplay but bored of how Zelda does it? Unhappy with the direction the series has taken in recent years and crave something akin to the older titles? Then why not check out Alundra for the Playstation.
While it's obviously inspired by the adventures of Link and his quests to save the princess or whatever, it carves more than enough of its own identity, and in many ways, it could even be considered superior: it's longer than any Zelda game, and tougher than any of them, aside from possibly Zelda 2.
But be warned: although the graphics may look somewhat cutesy, the content within is anything but. This is one of the darkest, hardest-hitting and downright depressing games I've ever seen. In this video, I discuss its scariest and saddest moments that have stuck in my mind like glue and simply refuse to budge...

Maybe they do horrible, unspeakable things to your character if they get hold on them. Don't underestimate the power of music and what it can add to the atmosphere either, or maybe they simply dish out huge damage and I'm constantly worrying I'm going to make that single mistake that gets me killed.
Just to note, fear is a very subjective topic, and as such, what makes me want to run for the hills and beyond might have zero effect upon you whatsoever and vice versa. Any bosses you think I should've included may have been disregarded for being too obvious or just not being scary enough to me. There's also a chance I could be saving them for a future sequel video or forgot about them at the time I made the video

Water levels have an infamous reputation among the gaming populace: The Water Temple in Zelda Ocarina of Time, Labyrinth Zone in Sonic The Hedgehog 1, just to name two examples. Today, I thought I'd talk about one that I've never heard anyone else talks about that ticked me right off from Monster World IV...
Near the end of the video, I go somewhat off course and start talking about a Creepy Bad Ending.

To prove it, I thought I'd make this video, the first in a possible series, where I discuss my thoughts about the most recent (at the time of writing) Nintendo Direct. (September 14th, 2023)
For any games I don't talk about, I either didn't have much of a opinion on, didn't know what to say about them, or possibly forgot about them.

Well, I aim to set the record straight...
Over the years, there have been some laughably weak main characters starring in video games, characters who you're almost embarrassed to be controlling or if they're enemies, feel bad to fight. In this series, I'll show footage of these characters' greatest feats of "power".

I certainly do, and I've had more than my fair share of them during gaming.
As punishment for having the audacity to even make these errors, I've decided to reveal them all to the world. Try not to facepalm too hard now, you hear me?
Unsurprisingly, the focus of the Boss Analysis series has been on... bosses. Big Bosses, Tiny Bosses, Bosses with low health, Pathetic Final Bosses, you name it.
But over all the attention I've lavished upon the biggest threats in gaming, their underlings are starting to feel a little left out. But I'm only too happy to change that, though they might not like exactly HOW I'm going to go about it...

This time, I turn my focus towards what I consider some of the most annoying SRPG enemies around and why they get under my skin so much.

Today, I talk about my most hated Legend of Zelda enemy ever. Er, most hated for gameplay-related reasons, to be more specific.
