gvloanguy | NSA Spying on Americans Isn't New - Everything Changed after 9/11 @gvloanguy | Uploaded June 2013 | Updated October 2024, 17 hours ago.
Edward Snowden isn't the first NSA whistleblower. The NSA Spying on American's started in 2001, right after September 11. Right after the Patriot Act. Prior to that they were forced by law to protect American citizens from surveillance. William Binney the NSA Whistleblower who resigned from NSA in October 2001 tells how they had the protections in place to protect Americans, but the White House, NSA and the CIA decided to change all that. I've also included excerpts from the Democracy Now interview of James Bamford, author of the Shadow Factory, The Ultra-Secret NSA from 9/11 to the Eavesdropping on America. This shows how deep this goes. Bamford has a suggestion for Congress at the end of the video.
