This is a recording of live ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, which established today’s NRC. The celebration included special guest speakers -- former Commissioner Victor Gilinsky (1974-1984), former Chair Shirley Jackson (1995-1999), and former Chair Richard Meserve, (1999-2003). We also heard remarks by NRC Chair Hanson and Commissioners Wright, Caputo and Crowell. Highlighted was a Moment's in NRC History video with Historian Tom Wellock on the Congressional Battle for the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974 .
