US President Joe Biden has commented on the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, saying it's a "good day for the world".

Briefly speaking to the media, President Biden said he had called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Now is the time to move on. Move on toward a ceasefire in Gaza and make sure we’re moving in a direction; we’ll be in a position to make things better for the whole world,” President Biden told journalists.
