This was the first single released by Thompson Twins after Joe Leeway left the group in 1986. It's the theme song to the movie Nothing In Common which starred Tom Hanks and the legendary Jackie Gleason in his final role. The song missed the U.S. Top 40 and was not released as a single in the U.K.
