If we're going to quote the Bible on forgiveness, we need to use the Bible's definition of forgiveness.
Too often, people talk about forgiveness as simply letting go of anger or resentment—but that’s not what Scripture means. Biblical forgiveness involves repentance and the goal of reconciliation.
Before you accept someone’s version of “forgiveness,” ask:
👉 What do you mean by that?
Because if we change the definition, we’re no longer talking about what the Bible teaches.
