The biblical call to unify is often weaponized in abusive environments to mean one thing: "everyone must agree with the leader."

When this happens, the church starts to look less like the Body of Christ and more like a cult documentary. It creates an immense pressure to conform, not just in beliefs, but in appearance, speech, and behavior.

True unity connects us in spirit; it does not require the erasure of your individuality or total submission to a leader's preferences.
