Day three of our complete Oregon BDR ADV riding and motorcycle camping trip started in Bend, Oregon and ended up being both the best and the worst day of the trip. Our new ORBDR riding day started out in fantastic fashion with the second half of ORBDR section 4 and the beginning of ORBDR section 5. Sections 4 and 5 take you through the heart of Central Oregon and my favorite riding areas in the entire state.

We rode our dual sport motorcycles (Honda CRF300L, Suzuki DRZ4s, and a Honda XR650L) up the back side to Three Creek Lake, down into Sisters, and then around on Section 5 to the top of Cache mountain and to Big Lake. The optional harder cache mountain section is difficult, but the climb is worth it because of the EPIC 360 degree views at the top. This is a must see part of the new Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route.
