The upcoming 2027 CFMOTO Ibex 950 is maybe the most feature rich new adventure motorcycle offering to hit the United States in a very long time, but it's also got the capability to compete with ADV bike heavyweights like the KTM 890 Adventure and the new Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid.
The Ibex 950 retails for $12500 USD and for that price you get a 946cc 112 HP engine based on the same platform as the KTM 890 and 790 Adventure R. The CFMOTO 950 ADV has 112 horsepower and 78 pound feet of torque.
Features wise, the 950MT has a setup that no other adventure motorcycle can even come close to in stock form. The 950 comes with heated grips, heated seat, quickshifter, TPMS, cornering traction control/ABS, fully adjustable suspension, and several ride modes all of which are STANDARD.
I was curious how the Ibex 950 stood up to its competitors so I did a theoretical build out of a KTM 790 Adventure, KTM 890 Adventure, Aprilia Tuareg 660, and a Yamaha Tenere World Raid with comparable OEM features and the price difference was astounding.
You'd need to spend $14,500 on a Tuareg 660, $13,000 on a KTM 790, $18,000 on a KTM 890 ADV, or nearly $15,000 on a Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid to equal the features and setup of a stock CFMOTO Ibex 950 for $12,500.
