Dr. Robotnik AKA Eggman is at it again, but as always Sonic the Hedgehog is here to stop him! This time around Eggman is after a new set of gemstones known as the Sol Emeralds (though the Chaos Emerald exists in the game as well, of course). These Sol Emeralds come from a different dimension, and he somehow managed to steal them from there. However something else from this different dimension also came through, or rather someONE. Blaze the Cat makes her first ever apperance in the Sonic-series! She has come from her dimension to take back the Sol Emeralds from Dr. Robotnik!
So now Sonic and Blaze are both trying to defeat Eggman, but not together. They both work separately, with Sonic being assisted by Tails and Blaze being guided in Sonic's dimension by Cream the Rabbit. But Eggman isn't the only foe they have to contend with! Another evil genius, who looks suspiciously like Eggman, has joined forces with the former. He goes by the name of Eggman Nega! Two heroes against two villains!
