After staying quiet for some time, North Korea decides to rattle its sabers, Australians thwart another bomb plot from would-be domestic terrorists, and a decision looms for Amos Yee.
North Korea Threatens South
Friday, North Korea through its Korean Central News Agency claimed that 17 South Korean vessels had entered its sovereign territory, across the Northern Limit Line, this month. The DPRK said it would strike without notice at South Korean naval vessels that intrude into its territorial waters.
Another Bomb Plot in Australia
Melbourne Police arrested a 17-year-old, accusing him of plotting to detonate not one, but three homemade bombs. Australian Federal Police Deputy Commissioner Mike Phelan said the young man was arrested on Friday of last week. This marks the second major bombing attack thwarted in recent weeks.
Singapore’s Amos Yee
Amos Yee, a 16-year-old video blogger based out of Singapore will learn his fate Tuesday. At the center of the case is an illustration he posted of two people having sex, on which he superimposed the images of Singapore's founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew and former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
