Having regular periods does not mean your hormone levels are normal.

You can have regular periods without ovulating. You can have irregular periods and still ovulate. And hormones such as testosterone can start declining in your 30s, long before you reach perimenopause or your periods begin to change.

Yet women are still incorrectly being told that if their periods are regular, they can’t have a hormonal problem.

In this week’s podcast, @drflorencecomite and I discuss why every woman is different, why we need to look beyond the menstrual cycle when assessing hormonal health and why listening to women’s symptoms and experiences matters.
