Something Falls is yet another example of Steven reworking older pieces and putting it to use in a new project.
In particular, this track uses the same chord progression that is found on Spiral Circus, the fourth and final section of The Sky Moves Sideways (Phase One).
The track was originally issued on the Carolina Skeletons EP in 1998 before being included on the two-disc version of the 2001 album Returning Jesus
Like most of No-Man's deeper cuts, it has never been performed live.
