This animation scrolls through NOAA's seasonal climate outlook maps for winter 2022-23. The first two maps show which parts of the U.S. have the highest chances for a much wetter or drier than average winter and the highest chances for a much cooler or warmer than average winter. The third map shows projected changes to drought conditions through the end of January 2023, and the final map shows current drought conditions. See more @climate.gov/winter2022-23.
