Ok, maybe I kind of, just a little bit, just a tiny bit, once in a blue moon backed into my girlfriend's car with my trailer hitch. The jury is still out on what actually happened.
Regardless of what happened it fell on me to repair the bumper cover on her 2014 Hyundai. I got a couple quotes from local body shops, and while the prices were kind of reasonable the wait time for a repair right now is insane. I considered ordering a bumper cover and painting it myself, then I found a couple companies online what will let you order a part, have it custom painted, then ship it right to you for the install.
This seemed like a win, win. It was cheaper and faster. I was a little worried when the new bumper cover showed up folded into three pieces. (How do they even do that?) With a little heat, and a lot of smacking with my hand we did make it work. This is my DIY bumper cover repair that ended up saving a TON of money.
AND for those asking I used “ Bumpers That Deliver” by MBI Auto. No, they didn’t pay me or give me a free bumper, but I wish they did.
