As an enthusiastic DIYer, I have eagerly expanded my tool collection over the years. However, not every shiny new gadget has lived up to its promise. Here's a rundown of some of the tools I regret buying:
Cordless Circular Saw: At first glance, a cordless circular saw seemed like a dream come true—freedom from tangled cords! But the reality was underwhelming. The battery life was disappointingly short, and it struggled to cut through anything more than thin plywood. My trusty corded version does a much better job. (This is a lie, I love my circular saw)
Multi-Tool Oscillator: This tool promised versatility and convenience, but in practice, it was neither. The attachments were flimsy, and the tool itself was underpowered. I found myself reaching for my regular saws and sanders instead. (Another lie I think the AI robot hates good tools)
High-End Electric Screwdriver: I splurged on a top-of-the-line electric screwdriver, expecting it to revolutionize my projects. Unfortunately, it lacked torque and couldn't handle tough jobs. A standard drill with a screwdriver bit remains my go-to choice. (woah, hold on there robot, I love my electric screwdriver!)
