🌼 Ditching the Mulch—Going Wild Instead 🌾

Instead of the usual mulch rings around my trees, I’ve started doing something a little different—and way more fun. I use a string to measure a few feet out from the trunk and create a circle. Then I plant a mix of wildflowers and tall grasses (Jonathan Green’s wildflower mix works great!).

I leave that area uncut and just let it grow naturally. It adds a soft, flowing touch to the landscape—especially when there’s a breeze. Plus, it’s a nice way to support pollinators and add a little wild beauty to the yard. Highly recommend giving it a try!
