First off Merry Christmas. I know for a lot of you it's already Christmas day, for me it's mid christmas eve. I get christmas and new years last in PST time zone.
Secondly I never saved the video to my playlist so I don't know who I'm subbed to that made a wishlist asking for a video with this song, but here it is. Merry Christmas!

Lena x : you've been a really cool person to talk to and watch videos evolve and everything. I really love how close we've gotten and I hope we get closer through the next year!

I'd also like to say that this year, I made mistakes. I tried to remedy them. I had a falling out on ask.fm. I'm always cautious, and things go south quick. I'd like to try again to get closer to the editing community but steer clear of cliques. I'm leaving high school in 2016, I don't need to rejoin it online.
I hope everyone stays with me through my year next year, I will be moving at some point, hopefully to the college I want to, hopefully to a dream school.

My first entry in the Open Your Mind Contest!
The challenge here was to choose an element, and naturally my first idea was to do something with water and drowning because I have so many good clips for that and it would have been another meredith grey video. But then I thought about the real goal of the contest and its to open your mind to bend what you know as your editing style so I chose Earth instead. I view earth as earthy and brought in elements of my horoscope, taurus. I focused on the fluidity of the shots and did add some fx but overall felt despite the song being dubstep I didnt really need to overplay it.

Ok so I was going around and I knew I didnt want to do a typical voice over, instrumental and I kinda wanted to use So Cold by Ben cooks or whatever but I also felt it was overused. So I found this lovely piece of satan used in 11x21- Dereks death episode.
I also didnt just use clips of them crying or death, I used cause and effect. Why does Izzie feel alone and like everythings in slow motion? Denny died. why did meredith stop fighting? Who was she fighting for, what was she fighting? I dont have season 11 so I represented Derek and Meredith fighting with other clips. I found there to be a parallel between Denny and Teddy and scott foleys character. OH also I tried to line up the huge meredith part with the part she sang in the musical episode because im a nerd.
to me loneliness happens in a crowded room, the weight of knowing you could prevent how you feel, etc.
