Saab Bofors Dynamics NLAW (or MBT LAW or RB 57) is a fire-and-forget, lightweight shoulder-fired, and disposable (single-use) line of sight (LOS) missile system, designed for infantry use. The missile uses a soft-launch system and is guided by predicted line of sight (PLOS). It can carry out an overfly top attack (OTA) on an armoured vehicle, or a direct attack (DA) on structures and non-armoured vehicles.
The system was developed in Sweden by prime contractor Saab Bofors Dynamics, on behalf of the British and Swedish defence authorities who procured the system in a joint venture. It was mainly produced in the United Kingdom by Team MBT LAW UK, which included 14 subcontractors, most notably Thales Air Defence. Users of the weapon include Finland, Indonesia, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.

Tanks are playing an increasingly decisive role in complex battle environments. Tanks have traditionally allowed their operators to hunt opponents in relative safety. NLAW turns the tables by removing this safety level, earning its name as the ultimate tank killer.
Lightweight, swift, powerful
The unjammable and man-portable system can be deployed in around five seconds by a single soldier, day or night. With a combat range of 20–800 m and a single shape charge, NLAW is the best anti-tank weapon for infantries and dismounted troops in complex terrain.
Precision from any position
Extremely flexible, NLAW can attack from almost any position, from up high in a building to behind a tree or in a ditch. You can fire down 45 degrees and can shoot from inside a building, from a basement or from the second floor of a building out of the range of most tanks.
OTA and DA in one
With selectable Overfly Top Attack (OTA) against armoured targets and Direct Attack (DA) for non-armoured opponents and troops inside buildings, NLAW fires perfectly in confined spaces.
NLAW winter
NLAW’s OTA function is effective at just 20 m, making it ideal for short-range combat, even where the tank is behind cover. Its armour-piercing warhead can destroy heavily protected MBTs in a single shot. The system is also extremely effective when the operator can only see a tiny portion of the target. The operator can simply aim at the visible part and fire. The missile will travel one metre above the line of sight before it takes the tank out from above.
In DA mode, NLAW can be used against soft targets like trucks, buses, cars and helicopters. When fired directly through a window into a building, fragments will cause significant damage.
The ideal mix of PLOS guidance and OTA delivers easy handling, great accuracy and high kill probability, every time.

Reserviläinen-lehti kertoo museosta näin:
Ruotsin nykyinen panssarimuseo Arsenalen sijaitsee Strängnäsissä Tukholmasta noin 80 kilometriä länteen. Sinne vie valtatie E20 Södertäljen kautta. Näyttelytilojen ohella museovieraita varten on myös pieni kahvila, museomyymälä, suurehko kokoustila, leikkitila lapsille sekä avara yläkerran tila sotapelien harrastajille.
Tilavissa museohalleissa esitellään panssariaseen kehitys noin sadan vuoden ajalta lähinnä Ruotsissa valmistetun sekä siellä käytetyn kaluston avulla. Näyttelyssä on myös useita saksalaisia toisen maailmansodan vaunuja sekä jonkin verran neuvostokalustoa ja vaunuja myös muualta.
Yläkerran näyttely kertoo Södermanlandin rykmentin ja paikallisen varuskunnan historiasta vuosilta 1627–2005.
Ruotsin monisatavuotinen sotahistoria levittää näyttelyn aikahaarukkaa huomattavasti suomalaisista sotilasmuseoista, jotka usein painottuvat toiseen maailmansotaan. Arsenalenin yläkerrassa on aseita tapparasta moderniin rynnäkkökivääriin ja pukujakin satojen vuosien ajalta.
Esimerkki ruotsalaisesta innovatiivisuudesta on nyt jo museoon päässyt kiilamaisen matala ja torniton taistelupanssarivaunu Strv 103 eli se kuuluisa S-vaunu. Bofors valmisti niitä noin 300. Kalusto kävi 30-vuotisen kylmän sodan vuosina 1967–1997, mutta tositoimiin se ei koskaan joutunut. Vaunu on kokoisekseen yllättävän raskas, noin 40 tonnia, ja muotoilustaan huolimatta se on taistelupanssarivaunuksi tarkoitettu 105-millisen tykkinsäkin ansiosta. Miehistöön kuului kolme tankkimiestä.

About Arsenalen:
The Swedish Tank Museum – Showing the military vehicle development, as well as the military history of Sweden, from the early 20th century until today. The museum also includes a very special exhibition of tin figures, as well as a soldier’s croft dating back to the 17th century, where an accompanying exhibition tells you about a bygone era.
The museum was inaugurated June 17, 2011 and is open year round. Run by a private foundation – Foundation Södermanland Military History collections. The vehicles belong to the Swedish Government – the Swedish National Museums of Military History. The vehicles were previously located to the Tank Museum in Axvall and Military Vehicle Museum in Malmköping. The collection includes about 350 vehicles, of which about 75 are on display in the museum. Some parts of the exhibition changes each year.
Beside the museum there is an original soldiers croft from late 19th century with an accompanying exhibition, The Soldier and the Croft. An exhibition about the history of the local Regiment (Södermanland regiment) tell the story from 14thcentury until 2005 when the regiment was closed. The figure museum is a private collection which previously existed as a museum in Hjortnäs in Dalarna.
