I have a few of these filler pieces from the 10 minute clock. This is the clouds section. In some other uploads online the sequencing is slightly different and the music used in my version is playing over the coastal scenes in other prints.
Ive pulled the red channel down about 25% to compensate for some slight fade.
The track is Discolation by Midas Touch, from the Programme Music library album PM019 Medium - Rare. I actually really like this song.")

Never seen this intermission with the Have a Pepsi Day music before. Unfortunately this print had sprocket tooth scratches through the entire soundtrack so I could only use one of the duplicated waveforms so this will be noisier than the usual 35mm mono track. Its also severely faded which I have tried to reduce somewhat to make it more watchable.")

Portion of cartoon, about 10% including fragments of title and end cards. Interestingly this does not appear to be the correct title card music for this cartoon, at least not the original version.
Two-strip Cinecolor print with characteristic soundtrack on the blue record. Single bilateral variable area soundtrack.
Also worthy of note in this version are the BH perforations exhibiting the classic tearing at the sharp corners.
Cartoon was renamed Chinese Lanterns during WWII.")

From what I can gather this clip is theatre patrons arriving for the evening, being interviewed by the Herald Newsreel and being told that the footage they are appearing in was to be rushed through processing and then projected at interval later that same night. Probably a technically impressive novelty at the time.
Although this is an unknown year. Gladys Moncrieff being interviewed at 0:29 looks of a similar age to another clip from 1930 so guessing early/mid 1930s.")

During its life roughly the first minute has gone missing and it has been treated with a chemical which has caused some discolouration but it is still a powerful piece of film. I will be uploaded a 1:85 crop with colour correction. There is actually quite a bit still in there behind the red.
