(The Cluaran project took part in the Stove Networks "Nith Raid". We had a crew of travellers displaced in time, but connected by the river Nith. This video is of our part in the "Salty Coo" launching.
The cow has come to represent the tradition of farmers taking their cows from mawelton to the Dumfries cattle market at low tide. The Cow is covered in salt to symbolise the importance of the High tide (about 9M) and the salt water meeting the fresh.
