Episode Four in a series of videos about building a mini coracle.
Most of the video shows how to make the coracle using a board with holes drilled in it to hold willow in place. If you are making on in the garden though, with whatever sticks you could find, the instructions will work there too. There are some pictures of how the garden boat grew as well.
Episode 1 talks about all the things you will need
Episode 2 is about making a board to hold the frame (wee bit of maths)
Episode 3 is weaving a frame for the boat
Episode 4 is covering it with a 'skin'
Episode 5 is finishing touches
These videos discuss materials and tools to make a model boat which will float. The boat uses the same principles as used to build wee skin boats for floating down a welsh river chasing the fish, or a large curragh like St Brendan would have used when he might have sailed to America whilst looking for Ultima Thule.
