“I don't think Kurt Cobain ever knew how to deal with fame.”
On a stormy April 5th, 1994 morning in Seattle, an electrician working at the million-dollar home of troubled grunge rock sensation Kurt Cobain makes an alarming discovery.
Vinette Tichi, Seattle Police: “When he looked inside he saw a man lying on the floor. It was obvious this man is dead from a shotgun wound to the head.”
It's Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana, whose debut album 'Nevermind' vaulted the band instant fame.
Michael Azerrad, Friend: “A month before that album came out they were practically nobody. A month after it came out, they were spokesmen for their generation.”
Cobain's mother said he'd been missing for six days, and, referring to the premature deaths of Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix, she adds: “Now he's gone and joined that stupid Club.”
“I'm so ugly, but that's okay, cos so are you...”
