When you find a Nurikabe, it will watch you if you approach it. You can attack it and then kill it, but there's a safer way!
Bring up you gesture menu and choose any gesture. Note its color. If the Nurikabe is pleased, it will bow and disappear, leaving all its goods behind for you. If it is not pleased, it'll growl and its eyes will turn red. You will have one more chance to appease it. Be sure to choose a different colored gesture this time, then get back just in case you guessed wrong again as it will attack!
You can also sometimes get a hint from nearby graves. It will tell you the color gesture they died from, giving you a guarantee not to anger it by choosing the other two. There won't always be a grave nearby, but you should always check for one before trying any gestures. Good luck!
