Yesterday I learned that on October 2025, the E3 2010 demo for Nintendogs + Cats was found! I’ve been wondering about it for years! I set up the prototype EmuNAND on my original 3DS, and got excited to experience the early world of Nintendogs + Cats! It may not seem like much, but the Nintendogs games are very special to me, and exploring the early stages gives a new appreciation for the effort put into something that’s meant so much to me.
Exploring the debug menu was amazing, minus all the red screen crashes. I loved seeing the early behind the scenes, especially the homes. Luxury, Mario and Country look so different! I was having so much fun exploring, I stayed up past 2 AM.
This game sadly feels overlooked a lot, so I explored everything I could and hope the demo is further analyzed and documented one day.
