Little behind the scenes of a shot I animated on NIMONA with my reference and the final shot.
One of the most challenging shots I've ever animated, went through so many changes (all definitely for the better).
There's even a whole other reference edit which was my first take on the shot, this is v5 of my working references, made up of a bunch of different ideas.
The ref is a bit busy for a multi-character shot, so the ideas were distilled down to be much simpler and often stiller and quieter, especially Nimona when Bal is talking.
I really learnt a ton about clarity and the value of stillness in animation while working on this one.
Will be uploading the rest of my reference in the next few days!
