In this video I demonstrate an issue with the Nikon Z's Auto Area AF mode, where it fails to detect/switch to a foreground subject. This has particular implications for Face/Eye detect because by not recognizing and focusing on a foreground subject the camera will fail to recognize foreground faces that enter the frame.
