I've had this done for sooooo long but I wanted to wait until the Malleus dorm SSR*/the last part of the main story to drop before posting :) I really liked making up the dissonant twist (haha) on the chorus at the beginning (please don't click off i promise i know how music works), as well as the part at 1:51, almost directly inspired by Colors - FLOW. There's just so many cool parts in this song it was super fun i hope you enjoy!!

Happy 4th anniversary of VRAINS!!!!!!! I finished this in October (before I watched Vrains lol) but this is an updated version I’ve had lying around for a while, that I am using Vrains birthday for as an excuse to release from the dungeon. This song is one of my favorites and makes me insanely emo bcos vrains ruined my life anyway I hope you enjoy ^^.
One of the biggest updates I made was on the top part at 00:49, it was formerly generic arpeggios but I changed it to the reference to the beginning because I noticed it in the instrumental that would play in the episode previews. also I added claps :)

My first paralive arrangement! Where they at is probably one of the songs that got me in here, the ironic to unironic pipeline is too strong... So this song was initially out of my comfort zone, I was frustrated with the static tonality, but the more I tried to make this interesting by improvising the melodies as well as conveying the inflection/flow/delivery, the more fun I had with it. Adding the synth (DX7 electric piano soundfont), slap bass and the simple trap beat helped too. It didnt turn out too bad maybe?
czmz is my favorite character/story-wise (not music-wise 💔) so Im happy my first paralive arrangement was one of their songs 💖 Hopefully Ill be able to do more in the future even though a lot of paralive songs seem weird to arrange haha

I barely care for any other aspect of Bpro other than thrives discography but I sure do care for thrives discography ! Love addiction introduced me to thrive and i cant think of many songs that inherently sound more like heartache and longing than it, athough it totally borders on cheesy and saccharine (probably half of it from the descending minor third riff)

Happy October! Im not really a fineP or YuzuruP but this song took over my brain
Instruments are bandoneon, steel guitar (duplicated track with DX7 electric piano), piano, and slap bass. The chorus and other parts are really great, but it was super fun to freestyle the guitar in the instrumental break, and then change the time to 6/8 in the bridge with some tempo changes. Its kind of weird but I wanted to try it and ended up running with it help.

My version of one my favorite tracks from the Zexal OST, with whistle, organ, piano, and percussion parts! It notably plays in scenes where Kaito makes a comeback and/or summons neo galaxy-eyes :)
I was nervous that I wouldnt do the song justice because its hard to make long notes sound good with the soundfonts, also the original has so much energy, I was afraid of being lame in comparison, and tbh it did sound lame at first. But adding the whistle and organ (both of which reference/pay tribute to him hehe) really got the ball rolling and I ended up having so much fun with this! I hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!
Aside from obligatorily liking this track as a Kaito enjoyer™ the piece is actually objectively so neat? My favorite things are the call and response in the beginning between the aggressive treble and the bass line, the persistent repetition in the bass line; the fake 3/4 time at 0:39 which sounds really erratic and uneasy; that fake 3/4 also foreshadows the change to real 3/4 time at 1:16, which has the effect of extra speed and urgency leading to the end .. in that same part not only is the beat dynamic, but also the harmonies/chords: the way the chord progression gradually builds as it repeats, (extra tension points in the way there IS a chord progression after the majority of the song is mostly strictly built off of E minor,) also the first and second chords of the 4 chord phrase being in minor vs the third and fourth being unexpectedly in major is super interesting. The major chords are a hint uplifting/hopeful but at the same time make even more tension because of the way its just Not part of the base key and I think thats neat.... none of that probably made any sense and sorry to ramble, just know this song is really good so zexal music lovers stay winning :)

before christmas i came across the other groups music and thought it was interesting and as i dug into aoppella i found the short 5-man version of the New Cool groups only song and really liked it.... you have no idea how hard i waited for the full version and now that its out you could say i was bewitched by the lips
