In this video, I’m revisiting NFL GameDay 99 on the original PlayStation (PS1) for the first time since 1999. This was a game I hadn’t touched in decades, so going back to it was a full nostalgia trip.
I played as the Denver Broncos, one of my favorite teams to use back in the day, going up against the New England Patriots. While I did have fun jumping back into the classic PS1 football era, I’ll be honest — NFL GameDay 99 just doesn’t hit the same as NFL GameDay 98.
NFL GameDay 98 still holds a special place for me. I already dropped a video on that game and it performed really well, so if you haven’t seen it yet, make sure you check that out on the channel. After revisiting ’99, I genuinely feel like the gameplay, feel, and overall experience in ’98 was better.
