To most people on the world of Tyanaphos, Zoraidia is nothing more than a mysterious figure in history; a reclusive Prophetess who guided her brother, the great leader and teacher Sang Aparo. To those who know both magic and history, however, Zoraidia is a figure that looms as large as her legendary brother, for it was through her hands that the Oracle Deck first came into being.
Half-Human, half-Forestborn, Zoraidia learned about the Tarot from her human relatives. In her hands, the deck helped her focus her untrained abilities, but because of its history, she found it alien to her world and her understanding. Guided by instinct, she created a new, larger deck that encompassed all of the races within her world -- the tall Forestborn, the amphibious Wavecalled, the nocturnal Stoneforged, and the diverse Starmade from so many other worlds and times, all gathered and divided into seven Lesser Arcana, each embracing an overarching concept. She formed a Greater Arcana based on the Archetypes and Artifacts from legends and the conflicting Dualities that govern fundamental nature of all living things. When she was done with this great Master-work that consumed many years of her life... Zoraidia fell prey to her gift, and began to prophesies the major nexus points for Tyanaphos for decades to come.
Scholars came to study Zoraidia's deck, and thus, slowly, copies were made and distributed. In the hands of the truly gifted, nexus points for the populous can be foreseen. Those with minor gifts may be able to see for others, while most can only discern the barest glimmer of their own path. And yet, for most of the people, regardless of race or ability, the Zoraidian Oracle remains only a game.

Nexus is the first of the games Ætheric Worlds is planning. Based in the world of Tyanaphos, Nexus: The Zoraidian Oracle provides a glimpse into the larger world that is waiting to be brought forward, while also providing an engaging game of itself. A strategic solitaire card game inspired by Hanafuda (a traditional Japanese flower card game similar to mah jongg or rummy), Nexus can be either relaxing or challenging to your critical thinking skills, all based on how you approach it. As with any solitaire game, you can choose to go after the highest points available in any hand -- but there are other options as well, and sometimes points aren't the final goal. In the end, it's all about the choices you make.
