Nexus 7 Jellybean 4.1.1 weird bug @linuxleech

I have experienced this bug four times over the last two weeks.
It seems to occur randomly and makes launching apps from my home screen impossible.

I can however launch apps from my apps menu but only the ones fully in view,
not ones that are off screen.
Locking and unlocking my Nexus 7 has no effect.

The only way I can get it to function properly is to power it off and on again ( Standard sysadmin advice :) ).

Has anybody else experienced this?

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Despite this little annoyance I really do like the Nexus 7.
Excellent battery life, really nice to use, but would have liked a micro sd-card slot.

My Nexus 7 is running Jellybean (4.1.1)
