In our 3rd Part of Nextion Display Tutorial we will cover a couple of things
- Interfacing Nextion to any controller with serial Interface (Including Arduino)
- Nextion Button Frame format: Data that is sent via UART when a Button is clicked
- Nextion Text Box Example: How to Send data to be displayed in a Text box
- Nextion Progress Bar Example: How to control Progress Bar via Serial Port

In this video I have used the simulator in the Nextion Editor software to show how it works.

What is Nextion Display?

Nextion is a HMI Display with a TFT Touchscreen and Serial interface. Using the NEXTION Editor software, you can quickly develop the HMI GUI by using drag and drop components like graphics, text box, button, slider, etc.

Using UART interface with just two wires (Tx & Rx) you can connect the Nextion display to any Microcontroller via a 5 volt TTL interface. Using this UART interface you can connect the Nextion display to any Microcontroller like 8051, PIC, AVR, ARM Processors, STM Controllers, Arduino boards and even IoT based modules like NodeMcu (ESP8266 & ESP32), Particle Photon as well.
