In this Nextion display tutorial we will teach you how do GIF Animation on a Nextion HMI Display. We will learn how to start and stop animation using buttons as well as change the speed of Animation using a slider.

What is Nextion Display?
Nextion is a very easy to use TFT Touchscreen based HMI Display with a Serial interface. Using the NEXTION Editor software, you can quickly develop the HMI GUI by using drag and drop components like graphics, text box, button, slider, etc.
Using UART interface with just two wires (Tx & Rx) you can connect the Nextion display to any Microcontroller via a 5 volt TTL interface. Using this UART interface you can connect the Nextion display to any Microcontroller like 8051, PIC, AVR, ARM Processors, STM Controllers, Arduino boards and even IoT based modules like NodeMcu (ESP8266 & ESP32), Particle Photon as well.
