OneMoreBolt | New Wiring Harness For The 65 Nova Wagon @OneMoreBolt | Uploaded August 2024 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
I've been putting it off long enough, finally getting started on wiring the wagon. The factory harness in this 1965 Nova Wagon was hacked to hell in the engine bay and pretty rough under the dash so rather than spend hours and hours cutting out the junk and patching up the stock harness I elected for a full car replacement harness. I know it was the right thing to do, but man it's an intimidating task to look at when all that wire is strung out all over the place.
As you may assume, and like everything else on this car, I went cheap . . . and yes I know cheap often means more work but I have more time than disposable cash flow so that's the name of the game. That said, my initial impression of this Amazon special harness is that it's a lot better than I expected.
This won't be a wire-by-wire tutorial, but over the next few videos, I will touch on some of the highlights of the process and a few of the areas where I run into issues or think others might find interesting. Hopefully, if all goes well we'll be able to get this all hooked up in a weekend and test the car's electrical system so that I can move on to the brake and fuel systems.
