OneMoreBolt | 65 Chevy Nova Wagon Road Test - Will It Do A Burnout @OneMoreBolt | Uploaded December 2023 | Updated October 2024, 4 hours ago.
After 3 months of problem solving, head swap, suspension fixing, electrical bugs, throttle linkage issues, and carb battles . . . We finally are ready for another road test with the 1965 Chevy II Nova Station Wagon.
Last time out we went to a local annual car show and well, long story short, we had all kinds of issues, made home without a tow but the 1st outing with the wagon was a far cry from successful cruising. This time around we leave the shop with high hopes only to have a few more "unexpected" bugs throw a wrench in the plan.
The car is a 1965 Chevy II Nova Wagon, 350ci SBC V8 paired with a 7044 overdrive transmission. Recently the motor was fit with a set of 186 casting small camel hump heads with 64cc chambers in place of the 76cc open chamber lame duck smog heads that were on the motor. Also ditched a terrible serpentine system, replaced butchered front coil springs, and fixed a plethora of other small issues . . . but it's clear now, we didn't get them all!
