Looking out of San Diego Bay from approximately 3 m height above water (depending on tide), with a view toward North Coronado Island.
Providing some angular measures and distance/height details for analysis to discern a convex surface from a flat one.
This will be the focus of a series of regular observations to monitor the changing appearance of the island; particularly with regard to angular height above an apparent horizon and if that southern "spur" land feature of the island ever comes into view.
