B.C. Premier David Eby said the White House has revealed the 'true nature' of what it wants from Canada following the breakdown of trade talks and the implementation of new 50 per cent tariffs on a wide range of Canadian goods. Eby said the proposed U.S. terms would 'reduce us to the economic equivalent of the 51st state.'
