This is a weird little glitch I found in New Super Mario Bros. it's not much, but it does freeze up Mario. Everything else is apparently still moving.
What you do is, when you have the fire flower powerup, go to stage 3-1. When you get passed the mid-point flag, swim toward the Cheep-Chomp (the huge blue fish). shoot a fireball at the Cheep-Chomp the same time he's about to eat you. When this happens, Mario get's frozen in place, while Cheep-Chomp falls to it's death.
WARNING: By doing this glitch, you can NOT move, you can NOT swim, you can NOT shoot fireballs, nor can you pause the game. You are COMPLETELY frozen! Even the timer on the top right corner is frozen! Your only option is to hit the power switch on your Nintendo DS.
