Welcome to the Whirled Whirled West, the fourth world of a FICTITIOUS "New Super Mario Bros" sequel, subtitled "Secret of the Dry Guys".
In this game, the Mario brothers discover that the events of the first NSMB were merely an experiment: Bowser has been toying with immortality, and his transfiguration into Dry Bowser has given him great hope that he will finally be able to thwart Mario by... outliving him!
And so, after hearing rumors that the ancient unknown Dry Guys -- hideous skeletal Shy Guys -- have knowledge of an antidote to Bowser's immortality, Mario begins his onward journey!
But what IS the ... secret of the Dry Guys?
Taking place roughly halfway through the adventure, this piece would accompany Mario (and Luigi!) along a mildly challenging yet fun wild-west themed level, ravaged by dusty whirlwinds and host to the weapons-totin' Wild Guys who jump out from behind prickly cactuses guns a-blazin'.
