We might not know when the next Smash Bros. game is happening yet, but fans are still wondering what, exactly, it could improve. For how highly regarded Ultimate has been, there are a few things it could've handled better! The newly named Echo Fighters were a great way to put a more positive spin on moveset clones, but most of the ones we got...ended up just being glorified alt costumes.
What if Smash 6 did more with Echo Fighters? Brought in a handful more new ones, and gave them meaningful (yet easy-to-implement) changes that let them become more interesting variants of existing movesets? Let's look at a handful of characters who'd work well for the role (including at least one that isn't as obvious), and exactly how they could work as Echoes of Smash veterans!
