Hi everyone!
This is my personal record setup with 20,000 dominoes, and I’m very happy with how it turned out. I built this setup over the span of 5.5 weeks, putting a total of 100 hours of work into it. I spent numerous hours just sitting in my room thinking about what I should build next.
All in all, I’m extremely proud of this. My original goal when I started this setup was to create a perfect balance between different parts of the setup, and I think I’ve managed to pull that off. I made absolute certain that I’m happy with each color choice and that all the color choices really work together.
One of the main reasons I created this setup is because I’ve really been starting to notice that the huge setups are starting to die out. With the builder who’s really been keeping them alive, MarDominoes, soon going off to college, I realize that if someone doesn’t take charge, then these setups will eventually die. I’d like to help make up for his absence by continuing the big setup trend, so yes, this is the first of many.
I’d like to give a shoutout to two specific people.
First off, I’d like to give a shoutout to Twig. youtube.com/channel/UCQ2Gt7BSF9XX5HXym35cXJQ He’s been incredibly supportive of me through every part of the building process of this setup. Him and I have video called several times and it’s helped me so much to complete this.
Secondly, I’d like to give a shoutout to MarDominoes. youtube.com/channel/UCYq8QRJ7fJOu36DhGIieWaQ He is amazing at large-scale setups, and throughout the building of this setup, I’ve watched his videos several times to help get some inspiration for this. Him and I have also video called a few times, which helped me a lot on getting further along this project.
To wrap things up, this setup means a lot to me, especially since I haven’t built a large-scale setup in so long. I really hope that I can inspire all of you to build one of these yourself, because though it can be difficult at times, in the end it is so rewarding.
