Hi everybody,
This is Dominoes vs Machines Round VI! Back in July during Domino World, Lyle asked me if I wanted to collaborate with him on this video and I immediately said yes. So, both of us made 9 clips to show off the best of our respective forms of art!
A few things about the video:
Going into this video, I knew that I wanted a couple of clips to be absolutely amazing in the sense of originality (Clip 6, 7), but I also wanted a couple of clips that didn't have much originality to them (Clip 5, 8, 9). I wanted to make sure that any clips that were absolutely terrific to stand out as absolutely terrific. I'll let you guys judge on how well I did in that aspect.
My personal favorite clip from me is clip 6, the rainbow pyramid-looking structure. This clip was made right after Domino World so of course I had a lot of steam to go all out and make something that I truly thought was one of my best. This clip wasn't only my favorite to watch but also probably my favorite to build because of all the unique challenges I ran into while building it, such as coming up with a way to do the points in the back. I then tried to finish it off with coming up with a creative way of doing split-offs (the tortoise lines.)
I can't really say that I have a least favorite clip of mine because honestly, I'm really proud of every clip in this video. If I had to pick a "least appealing" clip I'd choose my fieldstarter clip with the elevation because of its size and lack of creativity. However, looking at the whole video together, I really can say that I'm proud of that clip because it brings out my others, such as the one afterwards.
I have a lot more to say about all of my clips, but to sum things up, I feel absolutely honored to have been chosen to work on this video, and I feel like I pulled it off well! Leave any thoughts you have about the video in the comments, I'll be sure to read them :)
