On a warm summer day, we caught the New Hope & Ivyland's freight train, known as the "J930".
This train serves several customers in the Ivyland/Warminster area, and is essentially a yard/switching job. However, this switching job uses some pretty big power, in the form of GE C30-7 #7087. This engine was built in 1981 for the Seaboard System, and later went to CSX. This 3,000 HP monster makes short work of switching out the Castrol plant, before heading down to the Ivyland interchange and calling it a day.
The J in J930 stands for Johnsville, which is the name for this piece of railroad according to the Reading Railroad's timetable.
Also, #7087 is wearing a Prime 920 type airhorn.
