This has been in the making for quite a while. I've been wanting to do this pretty much ever since SrGuillester pulled it off back in 2016. I started actually trying to play the level in 2019, but didn't make much progress on the asymmetrical dual. So it stayed on the backburner in my mind for a long time. I tried taking it more seriously in the last couple of years, but didn't commit to it. Then my friend @FeenoDerg got into GD, and started playing it. So I went, okay, maybe I should try again. So I did, and I finally managed to pull it off today. Good luck to Dolphino on this, he is EXTREMELY close to beating it.
So, about the level itself. It is objectively a good level, it's fun, but it was obviously not meant to be played solo. Playing it alone makes the experience a total nightmare. Everything up to 62% is pretty easy, but also has a lot of little silly things you can mess up. Given how this level is over 3.5 minutes long, it takes FOREVER to get to the 2nd dual every attempt. And despite the fact that I could pull do 60-100 very consistently with a start pos, I still found myself really struggling to do it from 0. The hardest part is definitely the dual ball at 71%, especially the first blue orb. That part is very complex and gave me a lot of trouble. Though, for some reason I also REALLY struggled with some of the much easier parts of the dual. I'm not sure why. However, I'm glad that I beat this, as I've wanted to do it for so, so long.
Also, yes, I personally believe this is harder than Bloodbath, so I am calling it a new hardest.

I started running this category February 19th or 20th of 2020. At that point, I had barely been speedrunning Minecraft for 1 year.
March 1st, 2020 - I achieved a 3:29.200. The world record at the time was 3:11.100 by Crafterdark. It could have been WR, but whatever
March 14th - I achieve a 3:17.050. Still 2nd place, and by this point, Crafterdark had achieved a 2:46. So, the first sub 3 was off the table for me. But I was fine with that.
March 24th - I get 2.55.200. Of course, its still 2nd place, but it was sub 3. I was very happy about this run, but it still wasnt WR of course.
April 13th - 2:42.550. World record. I was unbelievably happy about this, it was the first WR I had ever gotten, and I couldnt have been more excited. It wasnt a good run by any means, but a WR is a WR.
May 30th - 2:24.150. New WR Again. This run was quite a bit better than the 2:42. I was happy with the run itself, but I still wanted to improve it.
August 6th - 2:22.800. Lol
August 25th - 2:12.300. Good time
September 20th - 2:03.600. This run was incredible. My first 3 hit endfight ever, was played pretty well, and was very lucky. And this run proved hard to beat.
I continued running this category until mid-January of 2021, but I started to lose motivation. My 2:03 would have actually been a sub 2 if it werent for some seeds, so that fact kinda eventually got to me. So I sat on this category for a while, even making an April Fools joke using it in April of 2021, where I completed the game in 1:57.250. Funnily enough, that joke run ended up being slower than the one this description is under.
As the MCSR grew massively over the following years, I didnt consider returning to SSP often. I moved onto other categories, despite people asking if/when I would ever get sub 2. I had tried playing the category again a couple of times over the next two years, but I didnt get much enjoyment out of it. So I wouldnt pursue a better time.
This changed near the end of 2022. I saw nsla (a fellow runner) doing SS runs in a vc, which is basically just SSP. This made me want to try SSP again, so I did. I went ahead and played it, and I had a lot of fun. I got some good paces, and finished a couple good runs. The next day, I played it again. I continued playing this category almost every day, because I was enjoying it. And, I wanted to get sub 2. More so, I wanted to finally fulfill the promise I had made to many back in the day, that I would get sub 2. Specifically for someone named MerciArsene. They were extremely determined with asking me if I would ever get sub 2, for quite a long time. They had been there watching me grind the category back in the day, so I thought it would be cool/funny to surprise them with a sub 2. And well, I did it. Directly after losing a slightly slower sub 2 to a bad charge, I got it. Im so glad to have finally pulled this off after almost 3 years since I started running the category.
Now, about this run. It wasnt even that good. Bad overworld with a lot of mistakes, but with a lucky spawn, lucky cleric position, and first try flint. I threw it hard tho lol. The end enter wasnt anything too impressive, and the endfight was even a 4 hit. But hey, it was good enough for a sub 2. And Im happy about that.
Now, will I try to improve this run? Maybe, well see. I guess time will tell.

it took over 3 years, but I finally got an RSG WR. The grind definitely paid off.
I want to thank a few people here who inspired me throughout my 1.7 journey
whatevermarco - Got me to run 1.7 and did a little backseating. Even if he isnt in the community anymore, he was a huge inspiration to me.
bitsbyalyx - A very good friend in my early 1.7 days. Even if she is also no longer very active in the community, I would like to thank her nonetheless.
Infume - Him getting sub 20 got me back into running the category after a long break due to demotivation.
Everyone from the UR SAD friend group server - This server has been dead for months, however, everyone here kept me going in my early pre-1.9 days.
Everyone from the Pre-1.9 Discord - I appreciate everyone in this server, and without the people there, I wouldnt still be running the category.
Everyone from the Furry MCSR server - Im glad to have a place to just chill with friends while doing runs, you all kept me going when I wasnt sure if I wanted to keep running 1.7.
Teddiursa - Teddi getting 19:19 made me wake up and realize I couldnt sleep on 1.7 anymore, so I started to grind again.
M4xx - After a dip in motivation, M4xx getting 19:26 brought it back.
Spinnaker - Spin getting 18:53 made me start the true grind. I decided that I would play the game as much as I can until I got WR. And lo and behold, it only took a few days.
Chaos - You develop so many crazy strats, one of which that is pretty new is OBT V2 (the tower). It was first used in Spins 18:53, and now this run. And of course Chaos End Strats. I only had 8 arrows in this run, so chaos strats were ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. This run probably wouldnt have finished without them.
My twitch viewers - Thank you everyone for watching me while I grinded 1.7, having some people to chat with was a huge motivator and made the grind much more fun.
and finally, all the believers - Thank you to everyone who believed in me. Honestly, even after my 20:04, I doubted I would ever get WR. But having people who believed in me kept me going. Because honestly, I didnt even believe in myself.
This run brings my combined RSG down to 51:16. I will be going for sub 50, likely by improving my 1.15 PB (I only need sub 18:30)

Heres an even faster run than the last one. Thanks to @Eliotex for finding this new seed, which allows for us to unlink the nether portal from the overworld portal without building a new one (saves ~10 seconds). With better terrain to the border as well!

37.xx is probably possible, maybe even a little faster (sub 35 likely possible with TAS?). I lost a couple seconds on the portal build, and had slightly suboptimal movement getting to the border (probably lost less than a second)
Also, this is specific to reaching the corner far lands. It would save some time to go to the edge.
