Before we add the serious speed this black beauty deserves it’s always good to do a little health check and tune up to see how the last 45k miles have treated it.
Fluids are a good place to start but here’s an often overlooked maintenance item.
Worn spark plugs can and often result in nasty misfires. And while you’re in there, might as well do a little compression test. These motors are properly stout but a baseline is smart.
PSA, pull the fuel pump fuse before cranking.
