Sephora was giving away free samples of the @Glossier stretch fluid foundation and I’m SO glad I added it to my order. I’m using the shade light 1 which is for light skin with peach undertones, but I think my best shade would be light 4 for light skin with pink undertones.
This is $34 and comes in 32 shades.
The website says:
“An 89% skincare-based, gel-cream foundation that leaves skin looking moisturized with a natural-to-you finish. Formulated to fuse with skin (never cake on-top), to blend seamlessly and wear up to 12 hours.”
Highlighted Ingredients:
- Squalane and Glycerin: Hydrate and nourish skin’s moisture barrier.
- Wild Rose Berry and Plankton Extract: Visibly balance shine and maintain hydration.
- Amino Acid-Coated Pigments: Fuse with skin for flexible coverage and a natural-to-you finish.

I didn’t have high hopes for this because I disliked the stretch concealer so much - it had barely any coverage and made my under-eyes look too wet. But the foundation is totally different, which is an interesting choice.
It’s a gel-cream formula with medium coverage and - on me - it has a *slightly* dewy finish even when I’m wearing matte sunscreen. One of my friends said this had a soft matte finish on her so it may depend on your skin, but on me, it’s a little dewy. It looks SO skin-like, like bouncy, hydrated skin.
It also wears incredibly well on me. By the end of an 8-hour wear test it had faded (like any makeup item would have 8 hours) but it faded in a soft, natural way without ever getting cakey, splotchy, or overly oily.
When I powdered this, within 5 minutes the oils had already come through again but then it stayed that way and never got increasingly oily.
I do prefer foundations that set to a soft matte finish on me (like the Armani luminous silk foundation) so I’m not sure if I’ll buy a full size of this but I am quite tempted! I love how it made my skin look.
