Pensioners have been allocated 44 new purpose-built homes at Chatham Views.

The flats at Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Mews were allocated by public ballot this morning, with the new residents and their families there to find out which would become their new home.

All of those moving in are existing Government tenants, with the properties they leave behind set to be returned to the Housing Department for reallocation.
